We upgraded the spa’s outdated Russound system to a modern Sonance + Sonos multi-zone solution. The new setup provides reliable performance, independent audio sources for each cabin, and simple volume control through physical knobs and the Sonos app.

The Spa team approached us with a clear challenge: their spa audio system was running on a discontinued Russound amplifier and keypad network. Each zone relied on legacy wall-mounted keypads, and with the system no longer supported, any future failure would leave the spa without a way to replace or repair critical components. To avoid that risk and to bring the experience up to modern standards, they chose to upgrade to a more flexible and reliable solution.
We replaced the previous equipment with a Sonance multi-zone audio system, paired with Sonance architectural speakers to ensure clarity, balance, and a soothing acoustic environment throughout the spa. To give the staff full control and long-term reliability, we integrated three Sonos Port units, allowing different streaming sources to be played simultaneously across the various cabins and areas.
Volume can now be adjusted physically through dedicated volume knobs installed in each zone, or remotely through the Sonos app, giving the spa a simple, modern, and future-proof control experience.
This upgrade ensures that the spa’s audio system is more dependable, better sounding, and significantly more flexible than before, without altering the existing architecture.
